Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/27/2016

Number: 2

I have planted Tuberosa milkweed for the last two years to entice Monarchs to my back yard. Finally, this year, in August, I observed two adult Monarchs visiting the Phlox, Milkweed, Abelia, and Bee Balm. This is the first time I have observed Monarchs in my back yard so I was excited. They spent a lot of time on the Lobelia and vines also. Now...I am happy! These two adults made another visit but this time the visit was shorter. I cannot recall what particular day in August they frequented again, but it was definitely in August. Now, I know it is highly possible to see Monarchs in this section of the Triad.
