Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 09/20/2016

Number: 1

It does not appear that the 2nd "visiting adult male R.T" wanted to stick around & be constantly chased away by our 1st "visiting male R.T". So the number of males went back down to 1 again. Same otherwise. Several Sub-males having flecks of red. Some have several flecks of red & there is one that I cannot tell if flecks are red or black as in the shade all color looks black. It is challenging to tell if we have any sub-male B.C.'s in the poor light. But the adult male R.T. was here when the sun went down. My husband did get a picture that I believe was a female R.T. as there were no flecks, no spots & not stripe's at her throat area. She was resting on a vine in the shade. So our total count of hummers was 5-6. Temps. still in mid. 90's & humid.
