Sightings report image

Date: 09/14/2016

Number: 20

Took many more photos, but was pleased with this one which was male. The rest I got photos of were females.

I saw this number all together nectaring over a period of 2 days and got photos of them both days spending about 30 minutes or more the first day, closer to an hour the second day. On that day my husband also got some photographs of them as we were together.

I had been seeing individuals flying around for a few days before that but could not get close enough to see whether male or female and wasn't even sure if they were one moving around the area or several different ones. It was only on those 2 days (in my reports) that I saw so many at once in the same patch of brush.
