This beautiful new monarch is nectaring on a tithonia bloom. I'm primarily seeing monarchs in the afternoon now. Perhaps I'm seeing migrants, or seeing monarchs that are eclosing in my garden, or a bit of both! But the mornings don't bring many sightings as the season progresses.
