Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 09/23/2016

Number: 36

Was getting ready for fall clean up cutting milkweed and discovered 36 VERY SMALL caterpillars (maybe 1 or 2 days out of eggs) and 25 eggs not hatched. I brought them in the house. I believe I have enough milkweed to get them to pupate stage and to eclose, but the end of October for releasing would be very cold. I have never seen eggs and the very small caterpillars this LATE in the season. Helpful insight as to what possibly to do would be appreciated. I thought about letting nature take its course, but felt awful thinking letting them potentially die.
