On the Blue Ridge Parkway at Pounding Mill Overlook elevation 4700 near Pisgah Forest, NC we counted 120 Monarchs heading southward from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. We were able to tag 11 Monarchs with tags WCG100 to WCG111. It was a warm mostly sunny day with a slight breeze. Editor's Note: Migration rate of 120 per hour.
