We sighted a total of 9 monarchs in our butterfly gardens today. At 9:30 a:m there were 4 of them flying around each other in circles and feeding at butterfly bushes. They were gone by 11 a:m. At about noon 3 more appeared and were displaying the same behavior; they stayed until about 1:15 p:m. After we released our 2 females at 3 p:m, another 2 monarchs joined them. They were seen resting in our cedar trees and coming down from there every so often to feed at bushes. Then they would return to the trees for awhile sunning. They were last seen at 6:15 p:m. I am assuming they will be spending the night here. Monarch Waystation #13039
