Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 09/25/2016

Number: 1

One beautiful guest arrived about 1:30 PM and spent the rest of her day nectaring from the Lantana, Black and Blue, and also enjoying the feeder. The Lantana is positioned so it branches up and through the small tree branches positioned next to the feeder. She enjoyed this arrangement, as she could perch on a branch, and nectar from the Lantana without moving her wings. I moved a large Vermillionaire Cuphea plant from the other side of the house for her, so she could nectar from Lantana, Cuphea and Black and Blue in this location. Cleaned and refilled all the feeders, there are still 12 sparkling feeders, and red flags flying in the habitat for any tardy birds; migrating from the north.
