Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 09/26/2016

Number: 60

I am pleased to report that Monarchs continue to lay eggs on my milkweed. I regularly find 6 or more larvae at different instar stages. To make sure that the cardinals don't eat them, I am rearing the larvae in a butterfly habitat. Today, I have at least 40 and at least 20 in chrysalis. I also was able to spread the message of the monarch at my grandson's birthday party to many very interested partygoeers. I release at least 2-6 adults daily...mixed male and female. These are the most monarchs I have had for many years!
