I released two males and one female over the last 24 hours. They were all in chrysalis for 13 days. The female that eclosed this morning looked to be deformed, with shriveled wings that remained so for ten minutes. Temps were in the mid 50's last night and 60 this am. I moved her into the sun and her wings unfurled quickly and upon release three hours later she flew off well. These are the last of the 42 reared this season, of which 28 are female and 14 male, about the same ratio as last year's crop.
