Today's weather was warm and dry by our standards. This year, we are planting by drilling hoes using a 3" auger, rather than digging up a large plot. The holes were measured and filled with a combination of existing soil and potting mix. I hope this will reduce the effects of bad soil and drainage on the overall experiment.
