There were two monarch butterflies nectaring on purple asters, rudbeckia, and phlox in the Trolley Path Garden's butterfly garden. One of them is seen in the photo with an American Lady. The monarch is a male in excellent condition. The American Lady has a big bite out of its hind wings.
