Didn't see a single butterfly all morning. Then parked my bus on the west end of college campus by the open field and a cold front started blowing in from the north. Suddenly Monarchs flying fast and Westward every few min over a thirty min period that I was parked by the field. Ten in thirty min is a big improvement over the last two weeks that i started seeing maybe three, four a day.
Last year I counted one Monarch butterfly over a three month period.
