A big change in the weather the past few days, after a cold front passed through Sunday night/Monday morning (Sept. 25/26), but still no monarchs seen migrating through. Monday and Tuesday we had sunny skies but very strong westerly winds. Yesterday and today the winds are north at 15mph, but skies are cloudy with scattered rain showers. The monarchs seem so be waiting still. None seen in my backyard. I went to Meadowbrook Park - the goldenrod is still in bloom, ready for the big wave when it arrives. With the "Indian summer" (temps in the 90s until Sept 25, south winds), the peak migration seems to be delayed this year.
