Report for last week in September. Number sighted is unknown. We're still seeing numerous hummingbirds during the day. No males. One Rufus female and one totally black hummingbird; all the rest are female and juvenile ruby-throats. We still have seven 8-ounce feeders out, but the birds show much more interest in our turk's cap and tropical honeysuckle. There are still a few wild flowers in our meadows, but the hummingbirds show little interest in them.
