Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/01/2016

Number: 1

We thought our last R.T. may have left but had nice afternoon surprise around 5-6pm. Our young female about 20 ft. high feeding off of Cypress Vine. My husband later saw her feeding off of the lt. pink Turk's Cap located in same corner of yard. She seems to favor flowers over feeder but will come to it for several drinks around 6:30pm to dusk when she finds herself a branch high in trees near feeder. Cypress Vine is actually 30 ft. high. She has a nice area to feed up there. Vine has several growing up there so it is about 15 ft. across draping nicely up in the trees. Largest Vine I have ever had in 20 yrs. Only thing is I can't get up that high to cut off all of the seed pods to extend it growing cycle.
