saw at least 15 on our 22 acres of pasture on sep 30. didn't get out there on oct 1 but saw 6 more today, oct 1. I'm sure there were some on oct 1. have been seeing many single monarchs as we drive around. saw a monarch today that either hatched deformed or got mangled somehow. wings were distorted but it was still flying. that was a first.
