under light northerly breeze and clear skies, I parked on the Hagerman NWR Wildlife Rd and observed low flying south-bound monarchs crossing the pale gravel road through 5x binoculars. I counted 66 monarchs crossing the road in 5 minutes, from 1140 to 1145.
