It was a damp & rainy weekend, but on Sunday , around 11 a.m., the sun was peeking out and it cleared up for awhile. I was surprised to see a vibrant , healthy Monarch nectaring from the Mexican Torch sunflowers! I hadn't seen any Monarchs for a few days. I think it was a female. She stayed out there for most of the afternoon, then more rain came. I didn't see her anymore, so she must've flew on?! While she was eating, 2 hummingbirds flew up quickly, ate from the flowers quickly, then left!
