Monarch, Captive-Reared
Sightings report image

Date: 09/30/2016

Number: 1

Shadow emerged on a cloudy, rainy day, approximately 17C. It was "Superhero Day" at Essex Public School. What good timing on her part because Monarchs are superheroes of a sort for the epic journey they make. We waited until later in the day when her wings had dried to tag her but alas it was raining so we had to put her back in her container. The rain stopped after the grade ones had gone home so Mrs. Dufour-Rickeard released her then.
