Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/04/2016

Number: 7

The big surge of migrating hummers is gone, but I still have seven remaining in my yard. Each of them guards a section of the garden, which is loaded with their favorite blooms. A few still use a feeder. Every year I have several hummers during the first week of October, so this is very typical. At least a few will likely leave at the end of the week when a strong front moves through.
