Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Number: 1

I was mowing the lawn and working in my backyard, on Sunday afternoon, and I was soooo surprised to see a pretty & healthy Monarch feeding from the Mexican Torch sunflowers! She was there all afternoon . It was a beautiful sunny, clear day but slightly cool. The sun felt hot and she was basking in the sun and would flutter around the yard then come back. Around 6 p.m. I looked to see if she was still there, but didn't see her. I was hoping she was okay since it got down to 42 degrees last night!
