Around 4:30pm I saw 3 monarchs. Two were clearly males, both bright-winged. They spotted each other nectaring on the blooming milkweed and had an aerial sparring match for a few moments ~ then each retreated to separate areas of the milkweed-laden pasture. No photos because I was instead collecting some of the larvae to raise indoors.
