Both male and female monarchs have been feeding in my garden for the past few weeks. Usually one to two each day. I have a lot of milkweed (asclepias currasavica), red pentas, zinnias and hibiscus. I've had many, many eggs but the tiny ants and wasps have been eating most of the larvae when they hatch. Some of them have survived so I put them in a large enclosure on the potted milkweed. Just released four large, healthy and vividly colored butterflies, three females and one male. I have seven more chrysalises that will be hatching in the next few days.
