Today, I released a male Monarch butterfly into a meadow in Center Valley, PA. He hatched yesterday afternoon, not quite 24 hrs ago. I found him as a caterpillar in a field in September. He flew right into a tree in the meadow. It was sunny, and 67 degrees.
When I went back to check on him, 3 hrs later, he wasn't there at that spot.
