Genus Danaus (Monarch or Queen) Egg. 2 on Asclepias asperula.

Notes: This is in “Other” not “Monarch Egg” because at this date and location both Monarchs and Queens are present. I have observed both species placing eggs, even on the same plant. The two species produce essentially identical eggs.

All in a small area near our house where milkweed has re-emerged with recent rain. Thoroughness of search varied.
