I haven't seem s Monarch in over a year. One appeared over the milk weed plants and went for the nectar plants. We have sighted several Queen Butterflies in the past 2 weeks ( including 6 caterpillers on a tropical milkweed, chrysalis and emergence of a Queen. But I am sure this eas a Monarch because it was larger and it had markings on the inside and outside of it's wings.
