One Monarch near house on liatris. Others divided between two groves of trees in shade and out of wind at about 1730.

Large numbers of Queens out today. About 1730 some all over the leeward side of a Baccharis neglecta shrub that was blooming. Constantly moving. ID not obvious until close or as I did using magnification. Photo shot with long telephoto then cropped.
