Hello,

How are you? We are 7 and 8 years old. We go to Flagstaff Academy in Longmont, Colorado. How many butterflies do you see every year? We had a fun time making the butterflies. We learned a lot about monarch butterflies in our class. Do you protect the butterflies you see? We protect the monarchs by planting milkweed in our garden. We also protect monarchs by just looking at them, instead of touching them. The wings of the large butterfly are photographs of our garden. The dots of color paint are our fingerprints. We have 26 students in our class, but we really liked the paint so there are more than 26 dots. We hope you are having a fun time seeing the monarchs.

¿Como están? Nosotros somos niños de 7 y 8 años. Asistimos a la escuela Flagstaff Academy en Longmont, Colorado. ¿Cuántas mariposas ven al año? Nosotros nos divertimos mucho haciendo las mariposas. Hemos estado aprendiendo mucho sobre las mariposas monarcas en nuestra clase. ¿Ustedes protegen las mariposas que ven? Nosotros las protegemos plantando algodoncillo en nuestros jardines. También las protegemos tratando de no tocarlas y solo admirándolas. Las alas de la mariposa grande son fotografías de nuestro jardín. Los puntos de pintura de colores son nuestras huellas. Tenemos 26 estudiantes en nuestra clase, pero a nosotros nos gustó mucho la pintura, así que hay más de 26 puntos. Esperamos que esten divirtiéndose viendo las mariposas monarcas.
