We still have a few Monarchs migrating through our area here in NE Kansas as I've seen quite a few headed SW over the past few days. I was able to tag 2 out of the 4 that were utilizing our zinnias today as they made a pit stop for nectar! This is the latest I've ever tagged Monarchs here in Atchison KS during the 9 years I've been tagging them. I think last week's hurricane kicked a lot of them west into Kansas & surrounding states. Nice surprise!
