2-3:30 pm 18°c upon arrival 22°c at departure

Mostly sunny with 16 kmh wind.
10-12 of the 52 without apparent difficulty did venture out over Lake Erie from west side of Tip & continued their journey south to USA/Mexico.
The others that attempted from straight out from Tip south or from east side turned around & returned to Tip.
Some individuals continued just feet above the Lake & others rose to 100+'. Those on west side flitting south rose high above 100' & disappeared out of view
Upon departure observed one monarch arrive just south of Tip parking lot and proceed to intensely nectar on Short's Asters.
Upon returning to Tip around 6 pm only 1 monarch was located.
