Today it was misty in the morning and very cloudy overhead with fog out over Lake Huron. The afternoon became lighter with the sun trying to break through, so I decided to go to Harrisville Harbor. Between 3:05 and 3:45 PM, I observed 4 monarchs sipping nectar from goldenrod, white asters, and Knapweed. I was able to net and tag 2 female monarchs (WCZ-896 and WCZ-897). Temperature was 65F with a calm wind.
