i was in my back yard and it was raining when there was a monarch butterfly in my garden of milkweed. his wings where very tattered and one of his legs was missing. he was a male and he was hiding under a leaf from the rain. when the rain cleared he crawled out from under the leaf and then another showed up. the next was a female. the female flew away and the male flew after her. he fell half way and crawled back to the leaf.
