While cutting wood another brilliantly-colored monarch came fluttering by me from the north side of my property headed south. It fles so clase to me even while I was making lots of noise breaking twigs, that i thought it was going to land on me.It also did a slight u turn after had passed me-again very close. Unfortunately I could not determine its sex nor had a camera handy for a picture.
