What a beautiful sunny day at Rosetta McClain Gardens! NW wind brought a great raptor flow 150+ TVs! The monarchs also did not disappoint! 30 migrating monarchs seen by the hawk watch team. 5 tagged! WBE354, WBE355, WBE356, WBE357 and WBE358! All a good size and 2 were "5"s! Brings our YTD total to 976 tagged! 73% Male / 27% Female, confirming the known shortage of females. I told them to head for Centre Island (to Jackie) then off to Point Pelee (to Darlene). Maybe another wave is out there but who knows?
