Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/19/2016

Number: 4

Four late female migrants feeding on butterfly bushes. This is the largest number of (wild) monarchs I have seen this season. Very warm the last 3 days--in the low to mid 80s when normally temps are low 60s this time of year. light breezes, partly cloudy and high of 80 F, low in low 60s. We have one more day of 80s forecast tomorrow then rain and cold....Race South little monarchs! I'm rooting for you!

(I separately raised 10 monarchs that I released earlier this summer.)
