I was sitting on a bench looking out over the lake right at the edge of the cliff. During my lunch hour I counted 12 Monarchs all flying west. I wondered if they were going to Candlewick Woods, west of Port Hope on Lakeshore Road as that is a traditional gathering place for them before they cross Lake Ontario. I was able to photograph one flying west.
