Two monarch sightings today. The first at 8:45 this morning, a monarch circled up from the trees and went aloft into a cloudy sky, heading south, with a north wind after a cold front last night. This afternoon another monarch nectared on flowers along Table Rock Lake's shoreline, sheltered a bit from the steady winds, along with many Pipevine Swallowtails. The photo shows it grasping the flower to steady as it fed.
