Today was a big day for Monarchs in Missouri. It was a clear and sunny day with a high of about 75 degrees. I saw 15 Monarchs at one time nectaring intensely on a clump of Butterfly Bushes and 12 other Monarchs in the area (probably flying to or from the Butterfly Bushes). I saw the total of 27 Monarchs within about a 30 minute period. All had vivid coloring and appeared to be fresh, healthy, and very hungry!
