While vacationing in Destin, FL, on October 19-22, we observed many monarchs (and Gulf Fritillaries) coming to the beach on winds from the north. It was magical! Most were flying westwardly.... do they go across the Gulf, fly west and then enter Mexico, or stay for the winter at the beach???
