Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 10/26/2016

Number: 10

10 sighted, 5 tagged

The monarchs appear to be roosting overnight in a couple cottonwood trees near this spring. I've been going out there once or twice a week to tag them and test them for OE. It's been a pretty reliable spot to find them. It's been really hard to tell how many are roosting. They tend to come out one at a time and I can't see them when they are in the tree. I've tried looking with binos but I haven't had any luck. It also depends on the day. My best guess would be 10-20 maybe.
