On a warm sunny morning 10:15-10:30 walking along an east/west country road, I saw 11 monarchs in 15 minutes. They were flying SSW at a steady clip. Later I walked behind some and they seemed to be moving 2-3 times as fast as I was walking. Anyway, I couldn't keep up with them. Wind was from the south but noticeable in the tree tops but not strong.
