Was shocked to see a young male come in on Oct 24. It is very late to have one here. I still had some salvias blooming so he fed on those. Put up a feeder but he never used it. Each day he was here then would disappear for hours but always returned to feed and sit on the fence around the plants. Saw him this morning, Oct 29 and think he has now headed south. Wonderful to see one last bird before winter!
