Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/29/2016

Number: 1

It's still unusually warm in North Texas, and Monarchs are being seen daily--often is good numbers at patches of mistflowers in people's gardens.

This report from Facebook caught my eye. The author of this post is a friend of mine from Plano (just a bit north of Dallas).

Can't believe it! I cut all my tropical milkweed back, or so I thought. The one stem I missed. . .just one among all the Turkscap and Frostweed. There was a very determined Monarch who found it after flying all over the backyard searching. She has already laid one egg in the front. I've tried so hard to be a more diligent caretaker this year!🙁
