Our class of 2nd graders went on a field trip to the San Antonio Botanical Gardens to look for migrating monarchs. This class of 9 second graders counted approximately 52 monarchs in the two hours we visited the gardens. Most of the monarchs we observed were getting nectar from various types of flowers.
