A class of eight second grade students went on a field trip to the San Antonio Botanical Gardens on October 24 to observe the monarch migration. They counted an average of 52 adult monarchs from 9 am to 11 am. Brady noted that the majority of the monarchs observed were drinking nectar from flowers.
