The second hummingbird was a juvenile male seen this afternoon first perched on a hackberry tree limb. He then flew down to a shrimp plant about 5 feet in front of me where I did not need the binoculars to see his dark feathers on his throat which did not yet have any ruby feathers. Had seen a female, either juvenile or adult, earlier in the morning that definitely did not have a dark throat.
Will continue to submit reports any day that we see a hummingbird.
