at 1:00 pm I spotted this male. I tagged the male. He looked a little bit cold because of the characteristic behavior of opening the wings to receive the heat from the sun. Now thousands of monarch butterflies are arriving at the sanctuaries in Michoacan, so if this male travel today he will be arriving in December to the sanctuaries in Mexico. Temp in the 60s, wind about 5 mph, partially cloudy.
