I saw a large beautiful female monarch flying and fluttering near milkweed. Observing her more closely I could see that she was laying eggs. I did not have my camera with me, so no photos of her unfortunately. It was around 1:30pm, sunny with clouds, and quite hot at about 90 degrees F. The wind was S at 10mph and the humidity was 48%. I did check to see that she really had laid eggs. In another area of the pasture I found 4 new large monarch larvae while checking some of the milkweed.
