I still have a few pupae that are going toward emerging. I have had a number now fail to emegre and they have turned black. I have several caterpillars that secured their rears to objects and then did not make it to the pupae state. I had one pupae that I put in our indoor cage, and then a lot of what looked like small flies or wasps emerged from the chrysalis.
